    Hey students, THE DEADLINE TO PURCHASE AN RTMS YEARBOOK NAME PLATE IS QUICKLY APPROACHING.  AFTER January 23RD, YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO PURCHASE A NAME PLATE FOR YOUR YEARBOOK.  PLEASE ORDER YOUR YEARBOOK TODAY!!!  YEARBOOKS ARE $30 AND NAME PLATES ARE $6. AFTER January 23RD, YOU CAN STILL PURCHASE A YEARBOOK ONLINE, BUT NOT A NAME PLATE.  THE ONLY WAY TO GUARANTEE YOURSELF A YEARBOOK IS TO PURCHASE ONLINE NOW!  WE WILL HAVE A FEW TO SELL IN June.  ANY QUESTIONS, PLEASE SEE MR. OR MRS. VANN.

    The Homework Club will be canceled on January 25th for exam week. We will resume on February 1st as usual. Best wishes on your exams!See you on February 1st.

    The word of the month for January is courage  How do you show courage? You can show courage by standing up for someone or trying something new

    Just a reminder,  Try-outs for the girls basketball team will take place on January 23rd-25th, from 3:00-5:00.  Please have rides here no later than 5:15.  All athletes must have a physical on a VHSL form.  

    The N.J.H.S Students Helping Teachers is today after school.

    The boys basketball team suffered a tough loss yesterday against HH Poole. Great effort Jaguars

    The boys basketball team take on Shirley Heim today at home. Stay after school today to cheer on the Jaguar basketball team. Admission for students is $2

    Congratulations to the boys wrestling team who won their match against Shirley Heim yesterday!

    Just a reminder…. VHS upcycled projects are due tomorrow

  • 12/12: We will be having a battle of the books meeting this Thursday (December 15th) during your lunch.  If you have signed up for Battle, or are interested, please bring your food and any books that you may have started reading

    Have you heard of a makerspace?   The library is an awesome space to make things!  Our makerspace is challenging you to a VHS cassette repurposing contest.  Use the old VHS from the library to make something new and creative.  Make the most creative and exciting project and win movie tickets!  See Mrs. Welch in the library with questions.  These projects will be due in January.

  • The Focus or Drama Students Attending the Chamber Theater Field Trip today will be dismissed at.  8:30.  Please report directly to the Cafeteria with a pencil / pen and clipboard (or notebook) ONLY.

     

    We the People students, this is a reminder to report to Mrs. Cralle during ACT this week according to the schedule you received on Friday. If you have any questions please stop by and see her!!

    This week is begins Computer Science Education Week. Computer science is the art of blending human ideas and digital tools to increase our power. Be ready for the hour of code during ACT on Thursday.

     

    All members of SCA, there will be a meeting next Tuesday the 12th.  Please plan to stay until 4 and be sure you have a ride to pick you up!

     

    Good luck to all of our Chorus students who have a  Concert tonight, at 6:00 PM. There will also be a  6 Grade Band Concert on Wednesday,  December 7 at 6:00 PM  in the RTMS Gym

     

    Today during ACT will be our STRIVE lesson on kindness. The  word of the month for December is kindness. As we enter the holiday season, we should all STRIVE to exemplify kindness to our friends, family, teachers and others.
