Speech-Language pathologists provide direct and indirect support to students in the school setting who have communication impairments, which include: articulation, voice, fluency and or lanaguage disorders. The speech-language pathologist also serves as a resource to the school community. Besides working directly with students, the speech-language pathologist attends perent conferences, is a member of the Student Education Committee and consults / collaborates with teachers, other staff members and parents.
If you should have any questions about your child's communication skills, please feel free to contact us at
at (540) 658-6360
As you know SCPS is not providing any new lessons or therapy for children at this time due to the national health crisis and school closure. The speech-language pathologists in the county have been gathering information / activities / websites to add to our home pages for your use during this time. These are just suggestions as nothing is required for you to complete with your children. We have added a link for your use on the Class Resource portion of our page.
We have been thinking about each and every one of you and hope that you are all healthy and doing well in this unstable time of our lives. If you ever need anything to please let us know. We are always available and will do our best to answer emails within 24 hours.
Wishing you all the best! Keep in touch!
