  • Who is eligible for Benefits with Stafford County Public Schools?

     

    Contracted full-time and part-time employees are eligible for benefits through SCPS.  Appropriate enrollment must take place before eligible employees become active participants.

    • Contracted full-time employees (those contracted to work at least 32.5 hours/week) are eligible for health insurance, dental insurance, worker’s compensations, VRS retirement, VRS life insurance, annual leave(12-month employees only), sick leave, sick leave bank, voluntary leave donation, personal leave, bereavement leave, flexible benefits plan, Employee Assistance Program, 403(b), 457(b), direct deposit and approved payroll deduction options.  
    • Contracted part-time employees,those who have a contract for a minimum of 18.75 hours weekly,are eligible for health insurance, dental insurance, worker’s compensation, sick leave, sick leave bank, voluntary leave donation, personal leave, bereavement leave, flexible benefits plan, Employee Assistance Program, 403(b), 457(b), direct deposit and approved payroll deduction options. 
    • Non-contracted part-time and hourly employees are eligible to participate in 403(b) and 457(b) plans.
