In addition, our special education teachers provide accommodations and modifications to help achieve student academic growth and success. CFHS does offer self-contained classes for students in the special education program to assist with Test-Taking Strategies, Organizational Skills, as well as, Foundational Reading Skills.
Students who require more intensive support and services due to their disability, have the opportunities to receive their educational services in our Learning Support I and Learning Support II classes. The environment provides a smaller teacher to student ratio, where students are taught functional academics, life skills and employability skills.
CFHS also hosts SCPS’s Hearing Impaired Program which offers support for student who have hearing impairment. Our Deaf and Hard of Hearing teacher collaborates with general education teachers to ensure students are accessing their educational classroom environment with appropriate equipment, technology, or interpreters.
