Degrees and Certifications:
Mrs. Kara Colucci
I am so excited to be a part of the "Farm Family" as the Assistant Principal. Ferry Farm is such an amazing school, full of character and fantastic students and families. I always feel right at home!
I am from a small town in West Virginia just outside Clarksburg. I attended West Virginia University, where I was a Varsity cheerleader and graduated with Honors with a degree in Elementary Education in 1997. I began my teaching career in Stafford County that fall at Winding Creek Elementary. I taught both 3rd grade and 5th grade during the course of my 12 years at WCES. In 2009, I earned my Masters Degree in Educational Leadership from Virginia Commonwealth University. A month later, I became the Assistant Principal at Margaret Brent Elementary. I have been in Administration ever since trying to make a difference with students, staff and families.
My husband, Bobby, and I are the proud parents of two fabulous girls! My oldest is in high school and my youngest is in middle school. Both girls are very active in sports and the Arts. If I am not at Ferry Farm, you will find me sitting on the sidelines at sporting events or attending school plays and recitals. I am very active in the community and will be bringing all my positive energy to the students at Ferry Farm! Should you ever have a question or concern, please don't hesitate to contact me!
