Children who are tardy
If your child arrives at school after 9:00 a.m., the child should report directly to the office to have his/her named removed from the absentee list and will be marked tardy. The child will then be sent to class. Failure to report to the office when coming in late may result in in accurate attendance records for the child. This does not apply to children who arrive late because of a late bus. Perfect attendance will be recognized a the end of the school year for children who attend school every day with no tardies or any early releases.
Children being picked up from school
For the purposes of student safety, children are never to be released to parents at the classroom door. Do not go directly to your child's classroom to pick up your child at the end of the day or during the day. Parents who need to get their child during the school day should send a note in to their child's teacher. Your child will meet you in the office. When custody papers are necessary, they are kept on file in the school office and can be easily checked. Perfect attendance will be recognized a the end of the school year for children who attend school every day with no tardies or any early releases.
