Track off-season practices are completely voluntary and participation in them will not weigh in on a decision when tryouts come around, but they will be a great way for athletes to get in shape and get to know each other and the coaching staff before the season truly begins in December.Track off-season practices will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4pm-6pm, the first practice will be Tuesday, October 6th.The only requirements to begin with us is a valid VHSL physical form dated after 5/1/2020, a participation agreement form, and an emergency card. All of these can be found on the school website or on our Track Off-Season Google Classroom. The Off-Season Google classroom can be reached by a student using code lls6crg (those are lowercase Ls). Your student will be able to add you as soon as they are joined. We also use Remind for communication. Remind is a free app, you can also join via text message. To join you and your athlete can text @bptfos to 81010 OR join using that code via the app or on a computer at remind.com.On the google classroom are a few other resources including a powerpoint presentation and a video of myself going through the presentation about protocols and regulations leading up to us practicing. At the conclusion of this please fill out the google form indicating you plan on participating, that way I can get a schedule for staggered arrival to increase efficiency in our check in process.
- To participate in pre-season and tryouts athletes must hand in their VHSL Physical to the Athletics office.
