Employee Student Transfer Process (Resident/Non-Resident)

  • Employee transfer requests maybe submitted after the transfer window closing date.

    RESIDENT EMPLOYEE STUDENT TRANSFERS

    Children of part-time or full-time SCPS employees who reside in Stafford County may be allowed to attend the school where the parent works, the school nearest to the employee’s work location, or a school outside their attendance area based on one of the reasons specified in Policy 2103, Student Transfers. The policy was last revised by the School Board in March 22, 2022.

    How To Apply:
    Full-time or part-time resident employees should complete Part I of the Resident Employee Transfer Form and submit via email (through GMail). If the reason for the request requires additional documentation, submit those documents with the transfer application. If the reason for the transfer request is child care, the parent/guardian and the child care provider must complete and submit the Child Care Verification Form.

    NONRESIDENT EMPLOYEE STUDENT ENROLLMENT

    Policy 2105, Nonresidents, specifies that children of full-time SCPS employees who do not reside in Stafford County may be allowed to attend the school where the parent works, the school nearest the employee’s work location, or a school outside their attendance area based on one of the reasons specified in Policy 2103, Student Transfers.

    How To Apply:
    Full-time nonresident employees should complete Part I of the Nonresident Student Enrollment Application and submit to the Student Transfer Office via email, fax, or mail . If the reason for the request requires additional documentation, submit those documents with the transfer application. If the reason for the transfer request is child care, the parent/guardian and the child care provider must complete and submit the Child Care Verification Form.
