About Deaf, Hard of Hearing Services

  • The teachers for the deaf or hard of hearing provide direct and indirect services in the general and special education settings and consultation to classroom teachers, related service providers and staff involved in the education of students who are deaf or hard of hearing. Our staff support the assessment and evaluation process and may assist students who have hearing loss as a secondary disability.  We understand that our students have different communication modalities; we provide appropriate technology, equipment and curriculum to support their communication, academic, self-advocacy, social and transition skills. American Sign Language interpreters are available for students who also require this direct support.
