Degrees and Certifications:
Update: Mrs. Kenny and I are working hard to put together some activities that your children can do at home. These are not mandatory, but they will be some fun ideas to review the content that they learned while they were in school and to keep it fresh in their minds. These activities will generally take no more than 60 minutes a day. The rest of their day should be filled with play and reading books! We will be using ClassDojo to post these activities starting on April 6th. Spring report cards will be sent out, but they will be based on your child's performance prior to March 12th. None of the activities that are sent home will be reflected on their report cards. Thank you all for being patient with us and keep checking Class Dojo!
I am very excited to be your child's teacher this year! I can't wait to watch them grow and learn throughout the school year. We are going to have so much fun! I received my bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education in 2007 and have been teaching ever since. This is my fourth year teaching at Head Start and my first year as the Early Childhood Special Education teacher and I love every minute of it. Prior to working at Head Start I worked at private preschools and daycares teaching children from infants up to age 5.
I have been married for 14 years to my U.S. Marine. We have moved around a bit for his work. We have lived in California, here in Virginia, and Okinawa Japan, before landing back here in Virginia in 2015. We have three children- an 11 year old daughter, a 9 year old son, and a 6 year old daughter, who keep us very busy.
