Mrs. Folk

Hello Barrett scholars and families!

My name is Mrs. Folk and this is my 4th year at Barrett! This school year, I will be working with scholars in Kindergarten, 1st Grade and 4th Grade. Prior to joining Barrett, I worked with children for the last 16 years in schools and in the community. I have a passion for helping others in a variety of capacities, specifically in reaching their full potential. I received my B.S. in Psychology from UMW in 2011 and my M.Ed. in School Counseling from Liberty University in 2015.

I am married to my best friend and we have a 12 year old son, 2 cats, and one rescue dog. In my spare time, I enjoy watching hockey and baseball, reading, and listening to music and podcasts. As a family, we love Star Wars, Harry Potter, and Marvel and going to comic conventions.

I am looking forward to the opportunity to offer my assistance to your family and having an epic year with you all!

Mrs. Duncavage

Hello Barrett family!

My name is Mrs. Duncavage and this is my second school year at Barrett. I will be working with 2nd, 3rd, and 5th grade scholars this year and I could not be more excited! This is my eighth year as a school counselor. Prior to joining the team at Barrett, I was a school counselor in Wilmington, North Carolina and in Pensacola, Florida. I received my Bachelors in Psychology from James Madison University and my Masters in School Counseling from the University of Virginia. I am dedicated to helping students reach their fullest potential in personal, social-emotional, academic and career domains. I am also motivated to create strong and collaborative relationships with students, teachers, and families in order to help students reach that potential.

I am a military wife and dog-mom to my golden retriever, Huck. I love to read books, travel (especially to the beach), and explore the great outdoors.

I am looking forward to another amazing year with you all!
