Mrs. Folk
Hello Barrett scholars and families!
My name is Mrs. Folk and I am one of your new school counselors this year. This school year, I will be working with scholars in Kindergarten through 2nd grade. Prior to joining Barrett, I worked with children for the last 13 years in schools and in the community. I have a passion for helping others in a variety of capacities, specifically in reaching their full potential. I received my B.S. in Psychology from UMW in 2011 and my M.Ed. in School Counseling from Liberty University in 2015.
I am married to my best friend and we have a 9 year old son, 2 cats, and one pup. In my spare time, I enjoy watching hockey and baseball, reading, and listening to music and podcasts. As a family, we love Star Wars, Harry Potter, and Marvel and going to comic conventions.
I am looking forward to the opportunity to offer my assistance to your family and to becoming a part of the Barrett family this year!

Ms. Pearce
Hey there Barrett families!
My name is Ms. Pearce and this is my second year here at Barrett! This school year, I will be working with third grade through fifth grade scholars. I have an undeniable passion for school counseling and always knew this was my dream job. I received my Bachelor of Science in Psychology at Virginia Commonwealth University, where I also minored in Biology and Religious Studies. I received my Master of Education in School Counseling at George Mason University. I strive to continue to grow and learn something new everyday. I love being part of the Barrett family and look forward to helping and assisting in any capacity needed!
I am a huge animal lover, I have 1 rescue dog and 2 rescue cats. Some things I enjoy doing in my spare time are reading, being creative (drawing or painting), cooking/baking, gardening, watching movies and baseball!
I can not wait to dive into this school year with everyone and I look forward to the opportunity in providing my assistance!
