Student Parking Rules and Regulations

  • Students are reminded that driving a vehicle to school is a privilege.  It is imperative that parking and driving regulations be followed by all of our students.  The safety of our students is of the utmost importance, especially in the student parking lot.

Applications for student parking permits may be obtained at the Security desk, located in the Main Office.  Parking permit applications must be completely filled out, including a parent/guardian signature.  Parking permits are $75.00 per permit until the end of the Fall term when the price will be reduced to $40.00.  When purchasing a permit, a valid driver’s license and current vehicle registration are required.  Students who have outstanding debts or who have not paid their class dues will not be allowed to purchase a parking permit.  Lost permits will not be refunded or replaced.

Any student who does not have a parking permit affixed to their rear-view mirror is subject to having his or her vehicle towed away at the owner’s risk and expense.

Students who become eligible to drive after the first two weeks of school must purchase a permit before driving to school.  Those students driving to school within the first two weeks of school will be given a grace period to purchase their parking permit.  The grace period will not be honored after the first two weeks of school.

Students must park in the designated student parking lot.  The student parking lot is located to the right of the school bus ramp.  From the school’s side entrance on Shelton Shop Road, follow the road until you can turn right into the student parking lot.  If you enter the bus ramp curve, you’ve gone a little too far.  No student parking is allowed in the “Staffulty” parking lot between the hours of 6:00 AM and 3:00 PM.  The “Staffulty” parking lot is located near the main entrance of our school off of Garrisonville Road.   There is no parking on the sides of the road directly behind the gym or on the sidewalks in front of the tennis courts.  Athletes are not permitted to park behind the gym or in the rear “Staffulty” parking lot after school during practice hours.  The rear “Staffulty” parking lot is located in the rear of the building near the football stadium.

No student may go to the parking lot during the school day, including lunch shifts, unless permitted by an administrator or security officer.

Excessive parking violations or tardiness to school will result in loss of the student’s parking permit for the remainder of the term.  More than 10 tardies per term is considered excessive.  No refunds will be issued.

All students should enter the building through door number 25 (bus ramp) and make their way to the cafeteria.
