Miss Sheaff

I am excited for my fourth year teaching kindergarten in Stafford County Public Schools! I am eager to begin my first year at Widewater Elementary as we learn and grow together. I graduated from Kutztown University of Pennsylvania where I earned my bachelors degree in 2007. A few months ago I earned my Master's degree from Concorida University of Portland, OR! My teaching experience spans from early childhood through middle school. I have previously been a substitute teacher, pre-K teacher, and a Paraprofessional in Special Education for eight years in North Penn School District (Pennsylvania). I enjoy traveling nationally and internationally and look forward to a graduate study abroad trip in 2020. Over the summer I naviagted my way to Nashville, TN to figure skate with 1984 Olympic Chamption Scott Hamilton and participate and present at a Trauma-Informed Educators Conference at Lipscomb University. l also spent time traveling back to PA to visit family and friends. My favortie hobbies are figure skating, performing arts, and taking pictures.

From the start of my teaching career I have been extremely passionate and committed to student education. When teaching, I encourage all my students to reach their highest potential as life-long learners, build a growth mindset, and instill the value of being a member of a community. I believe a strong home and school connection will create a more successful learning expericence for all students. Kindergarten is a special time in the education process where students discover the power of learning and that practice helps us acheive things we never thought we could.
