    University of Virgina Hoo's First Look

    Hoos First Look is an annual three-day, two-night fly-in/gas-reimbursement and academic enrichment program in the Fall semester, running from Friday to Sunday. Everything, including meals, transportation, housing, activity materials, and miscellaneous items will be provided to 20 low-income/first-generation, rising juniors in high school. The program focuses on giving these prospective students the experience of being on a college campus, providing them with resources on the college-application process and financial aid/scholarships, forming strong friendships with each other and mentors, empowering them to achieve academic and personal success, and inciting interest in UVA.     Plumbers and Pipefitters Apprenticeship

    Applications are being accepted for the Apprentice Training Programs's 2019-2020 school year. Applicants must be 18 years of age by the time of application and have either a high school diploma or GED.  Applicants must apply online at Apprenticeship

    Pace University's Summer Scholars Institute is a summer program for ambitious high school junior and senior students looking to have an early college experience.      Norwich University Summer Opportunities

    The Architecture + Art Summer Design Academy is an exciting hands-on learning experience for students who will be high school sophomores, juniors, or seniors next Fall. The week long program takes place July 14th-20th and offers a variety of studio, seminar and field experiences, extracurricular activities, and field trips.     The Virginia Space Grant Consortium (VSGC) provides the following STEM opportunities for free to all Virginia students:

    Virginia Space Coast Scholars (VSCS)-Program for 10th grade students focusing on the missions flown or managed by NASA Wallops Flight Facility on Virginia's Eastern Shore, with a Summer Academy program at NASA WAllops Flight Facility.  For more information, visit Virginia Space Coast Scholars

    Faison Center's Summer College 101 Program Open House 

    The Faison Center is a non-profit educational and treatment center serving individuals and families impacted by autism.  The College 101 Program provides a two-week overnight college experience on the University of Richmond's campus.  Trained professionals from the Faison Center, along with the University staff will help build the confidence students need and ease the anxiety of the unknown for a positive college experience.  For more information, visit Faison's Center College 101 Program
