Mrs. Marsha Watt
It's safe to say that I find joy in the people and things around me. My family is one of the things that bring me the most joy. My husband and I have been married for 42 years, and we have two sons. One is a minister like his dad, and he and his wife have a beautiful daughter. . .my first grandchild! Just be around me for at least two minutes and you'll hear all about her. You might even have time to look at pictures of her or a video or two! The other is a kindergarten teacher here at FES and is married to the amazing Mrs. Watt who will be teaching in third grade this year, bringing the total of "Watt teachers" at Falmouth to three. I also absolutely love Alabama football and even named our family dog "Bear Bryant", after a famous Bama football coach. Having lived in Florida for 23 years before we moved to Fredericksburg, I have been thrilled with playing in the snow. My husband bought me a sled for my first Christmas in Virginia, and that year I went sledding and made my first snowman. Even the history of Virginia excites me, and I love taking day trips to explore local Civil War monuments. As you can see, I get quite excited about just about anything around me!
The majority of my teaching experience has been in a gifted first grade classroom. When we moved to Virginia, I became a fourth grade teacher at Falmouth, and I quickly fell in love with teaching Virginia Studies. This year marks my tenth year teaching in Virginia, and I can already tell that it's going to be the best one yet!
