Awkward Pause is Stafford High School's improv comedy troupe. We meet weekly, and give several performances throughout the year.

IMPORTANT: Please be sure to have a parent/guardian at the Parent Meeting on Thursday, September 26 at 7pm.

FIRST REHEARSAL: Tuesday, September 10, 2:30-4pm.

REHEARSALS: Improv Team rehearsals are after school on Tuesdays (2:30-4pm.) During the week of a performance, there will be a second rehearsal on Wednesday (2:30-4pm.)
There will also be rehearsal on Monday, October 7 (2:30-4pm.)

PERFORMANCES: Improv Shows are on the following dates:
October 9 and November 14, 2019, and February 13, March 26 and May 8, 2020. Team members are to report at 5pm. Show time is 7pm (the performance is typically over by 9pm, and students should be picked up by this time.)

PLEASE NOTE: As part of being on the Improv Team, we will ask that each student sell TWO (2) advertisements in each of our play programs (fall and spring.) More information on this will be distributed at the second Awkward Pause Improv rehearsal (on Tuesday, September 10.)

Everyone did a great job at auditions and it was tough to narrow it down to the students listed above.
We hope to see everyone at auditions for the spring play in January!

NOTE TO PARENTS REGARDING THE PARENT MEETING:
Your student has auditioned for Awkward Pause – The Stafford High School Improv Team.
If he/she is invited to join the team, we ask that you attend the Parent Meeting on Thursday, September 26 at 7pm. The purpose of this meeting is to organize support for Improv/Theater activities for the year. Without the support of parents, we would be unable to provide great opportunities for students in improv and theater at Stafford High School.

PROGRAM ADVERTISEMENT SALES (MANDATORY):
An important fundraising component for the Stafford High School Theater Department is the sale of advertisement space in the program for our fall play (The Phantom Tollbooth) and our spring play (Great Expectations.) Therefore, students cast on the Awkward Pause Improv Team will be asked to sell TWO (2) Program Advertisements for EACH show.

PROMOTIONAL EVENT PARTICIPATION – November 16 & 17 (MANDATORY):
Students cast on the Awkward Pause Improv Team are required to participate in the Publicity Weekend events for The Phantom Tollbooth. The dates are Saturday and Sunday, November 16 and 17. Improv Team members must commit to one of these two days, on which they will hang posters and banners and participate in other promotional activities.
