This is our page on the Stafford High School website (staffordschools.net). The cast list will be posted on Awkward Pause web page on Friday, August 25. Students who are cast should check this regularly.
REHEARSALS: Improv Team rehearsals are after school on Tuesdays (4-6pm.) During the week of a performance, there will be a second rehearsal on Wednesday (4-6pm.)
Rehearsals begin August 29 and continue until October 10. There will be a break for November and December. Rehearsals will start up again January 9 and will continue until April 10.
Wednesday rehearsals will be on October 4, February 7, and April 10.
PERFORMANCES: Improv Shows are on Thursday nights on the following dates:
- October 6, 2023
- February 8, 2024
- April 11, 2024
Team members are to report at 5pm. Show time is 7pm (the performance is typically over by 9pm, and students should be picked up by this time.)
NOTE TO PARENTS REGARDING THE PARENT MEETING: Your student has auditioned for Awkward Pause – The Stafford High School Improv Team. If they are invited to join the team, we ask that you attend the Virtual Parent Meeting on Thursday, September 14 at 7pm. The purpose of this meeting is to organize support for Improv/Theater activities for the year. Without the support of parents, we would be unable to provide great opportunities for students in improv and theater at Stafford High School.
PROGRAM ADVERTISEMENT SALES (Mandatory): An important fundraising component for the Stafford High School Theater Department is the sale of advertisement space in the program for our fall play (THE VELVETEEN RABBIT) and our spring musical (PIPPIN) Therefore, students cast on the Awkward Pause Improv Team will be asked to sell TWO (2) Program Advertisements for EACH show.
PUBLICITY WEEKEND (Mandatory): Students cast on the Awkward Pause Improv Team are required to participate in hanging posters, banners and other promotional activities. More details to come!
