The National Honor Society (NHS) the nation's premier organization established to recognize outstanding high school students. More than just an honor roll, NHS serves to honor those students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of Scholarship, Leadership, Service, and Character. These characteristics have been associated with membership in the organization since its national beginnings in 1921. We hope that this webpage will help you find out more about the activities of the Stafford High School chapter of NHS. Now Available—The NHS Scholarship Program Application!
Applications for the 2017-18 NHS Scholarship Program have now opened. All NHS senior members in good standing are eligible to apply.
Access to the 2017–18 NHS Scholarship application procedures is now available online. I have invited your adviser to log in to retrieve this material and provide you with a copy. General information is available for students and parents on the website as well.
The submission deadline for applicants is January 30, 2018. (Advisers and principals must submit recommendations and certify applications by Monday, February 5.
A total of $1.5 million—the highest amount ever in a single year—will be disbursed among 500 NHS seniors. Ensure your students are among those considered to make their higher education dreams more affordable.
