Graduation Ceremony Postponement Policy
The graduation ceremony will take place on Friday, May 19, 2023 at 7:00 PM.
In the event of light rain with no threat of thunder, lightning, or heavy downpour, the ceremonies will proceed as scheduled in the stadium. In the event of severe weather, graduation ceremonies will be delayed. If the graduation ceremony has to be delayed beyond the scheduled date, the make-up day will be Saturday, May 20, 2023. Delay updates will be sent through social media, email, school website, and a robocall. *Please note: if we have to move the ceremony indoors, the number of guests will be limited to 6 per graduate.
Our graduation ceremony displays the great achievements of our students on this special day for them. An appropriate dress code for our guests will be requested.
We ask our guests to carry out a business casual dress code. This dress code allows for a variety of styles from khaki shorts and pants to a complete suit for males or a light spring dress for females.
Please use your best judgment when determining the appropriate dress. Please also consider possible humid weather conditions and temperatures for May.
Jeans and t-shirts are discouraged from being worn.
Graduating Senior Dress Code
The attire that should be worn underneath the cap and gown of our graduating seniors is the following:
- A dark dress or dress pants and blouse; dark dress shoes (flats or wedges)
- Dark dress pants; white collared shirt; tie (optional); dark dress shoes
Flip-flops or sandals are not allowed to be worn. Please keep in mind that the graduating senior will be walking on grassy areas and ladies are encouraged to wear flat shoes or wedges.
The graduation gown may not be altered in any way. If any changes are made to the gown, the changes will have to be removed before the ceremony or the graduate will not be able to participate.
