How We Communicate
-
Our School Communication
Effective, efficient, and timely school communication is part of a successful school. In addition, and a partnership, with our school division's Office of Strategic Communication and Community Engagement, North Stafford High School utilizes and deploys a multitude of successful communication strategies and methods that meet the needs of our students and school community.
Division school closings, delays, and school emergencies that require county emergency response personnel and vehicles will be communicated by our school division's Office of Strategic Communication and Community Engagement. In these situations, our high school will mirror the communication being disseminated by our school division through our school website and social media accounts on Twitter and Facebook. Because of the uniqueness of school emergencies, school communication may only be available through our school division's Office of Strategic Communication and Community Engagement.
Our high school cannot make school closing or delay decisions. Our school division has a plan in place to make official school closing and delay decisions. Please reference our school division's inclement weather emergency procedures. Our high school will mirror the communication being disseminated by our school division during school closings and delays through our social media accounts on Twitter and Facebook and sending an e-mail message to all of our students through their school Google account.
Our North Notices below are the official method of school communication with our students, school community, and our parents/guardians. From time to time, you will also receive automated phone calls from either our school division or school.
If you are a parent/guardian who is not receiving the North notices below through their e-mail account, or not receiving automated phone calls, please contact our School Registrar, Rebecca Mccann by sending an e-mail to mccannrm@staffordschools.net or by calling (540) 658-6150, Extension 137031. The parent/guardian e-mail addresses and phone numbers are synced with our student management system. It is paramount that all of our parents/guardians provide updated contact information whenever their contact information is updated to ensure that you receive all school communication.
How We Use Our Official School Social Media Accounts
-
Our school uses the official social media accounts below to disseminate school information, in addition to information being shared on our school website and through our Blackboard ParentLink e-mail system to our parents/guardians and school Google accounts for our students.
Both our official school Twitter and Facebook accounts display a digest of most of our school communication and mirror one another. Our official Instagram account portrays some school communication but mainly highlights the exciting events and activities being held in and outside of our high school. Our official Snapchat account portrays mainly the highlights of the exciting events and activities being held in and outside of our high school through the My Story feature. We accept all users who add us on Snapchat; however, we do not review anyone's My Story on Snapchat. Our official Pinterest account is used to pin important highlights and services that our school deploys.

School Renaissance Releases
