About the Department of Facilities & Maintenance

  • Welcome to the Department of Facilities & Maintenance (F&M).  F&M's mission is to provide superior facility planning, design and construction management in support of the schools division's students, teachers, staff and community in the most efficient and cost effective manner.

    The responsibilities of the F&M Department include, but are not limited to the development of student enrollment projections, the Enrollment Accommodation Plan (EAP), the Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) and 3R Infrastructure Report, management of 42 architectural & engineering professional service contracts, management of job order & Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contracts, management of the facilities assessment program, land acquisition oversight, easement & right-of-way oversight, annual new and replacement furniture program, demographics, school boundary changes, community use of schools and oversight of facility space allocation.

Town Hall - Growth Crisis

  • Join the Stafford County School Board at one of four information-sharing Town Halls to address our growth crisis. 

    Town Halls will begin at 7 p.m., and will be held as follows:

    • Thursday, August 25 at Conway ES (hosted by the Falmouth and George Washington district representatives)
    • Tuesday, August 30 at Rocky Run ES (hosted by the Hartwood and George Washington district representatives)
    • Wednesday, August 31 at Shirley C. Heim MS (hosted by the Aquia and Griffis-Widewater district representatives)
    • Thursday, September 8 at North Stafford HS (hosted by the Garrisonville and Rock Hill district representatives)
