Giving Tree Holiday Information

Dear Parents/Guardians:

     The Giving Tree is a program at Ferry Farm wherein anonymous donors sponsor a Ferry Farm child in need for the holiday season.  These generous individuals contribute clothing and toys for our Ferry Farm students.  

     If you choose to receive assistance from the Giving Tree, your child’s name will be kept private, as will the gift giver’s identity.  The only information that will be shared will be your children’s gender, size and age so that the gift giver will be able to buy an appropriate gift.

    The deadline to be considered for the Giving Tree is Wednesday, November 16, 2022.  Due to the magnitude of families who request assistance each year, we can only sponsor students who currently attend Ferry Farm.  If you have students in middle school or high school, please contact those schools for information on similar programs.

Please be aware that we rely on the generous contributions of our donors, so assistance from the Giving Tree is not a guarantee.

     To be considered for the Giving Tree, please go to the Ferry Farm website and click on the “Counseling” tab at the top. There will be a section on the side that is titled “The Giving Tree,” which will contain a link for a google form.  Please complete this form, if you are in need.  If you do not have access to the internet, please call Mrs. Jenkins or Ms. Finch at (540) 373-7366 so that we may collect your information.  If we do not receive the completed online survey by Wednesday, November 16th 2022, we will assume that you are not interested.

     Please be advised that if you are already receiving services through SERVE, The Salvation Army, or the Department of Social Services (DSS), or other holiday help organizations you are not eligible to receive additional services through the school.  Participation in this may cause your aid through these other organizations to be discontinued.  Names are cross-referenced to ensure that there is enough holiday cheer to go around!
