Substitute/Temporary/Volunteer Application Process
Looking for work? Like working with students? Need extra money? Attention furloughed federal workers and the community: Stafford County Public Schools needs substitutes. There will be a pop up Substitute Workshop on Tuesday, January 22nd from 10:00 am to noon at 31 Stafford Avenue, Stafford, VA. This workshop is open to anyone 18 and older with a high school diploma or equivalent. Substitutes are needed for teachers, paraprofessionals and nurses. Daily Substitute Teacher Rate: $95.00/day
Long Term Licensed Substitute Teacher Rate: $175.00/day
Long Term Non-licensed Substitute Teacher: $132.00/day
Daily Substitute Paraprofessional Rate: $77.00/day
Daily Substitute Nurse (RN Required) Rate: $178.00/day
Long Term Substitute Nurse (RN Required) Rate: $178.00/day
In addition to completing the online substitute application, the accompanying paperwork must be submitted to the Human Resources Department in person as a complete packet in order for the fingerprint background check to be completed.
Once the online substitute application is completed, a confirmation email will be sent. There is a link embedded in this confirmation email that contains all of the required paperwork for substitute teaching. This paperwork, along with the required identification and social security card, should be brought to the Human Resources as a complete packet. Upon receipt of this complete packet, the fingerprint background check will be started. Substitutes will be considered to have a complete employment file once fingerprint results have been received, substitute workshop attendance is confirmed, and all reference forms are received. An email with the employee ID will be sent to the substitute upon completion of the file with directions for using the automated substitute calling system.
