Degrees and Certifications:

Ms. Renee Broadnax

I am so excited for my third year of teaching here at Ferry Farm Elementary!! I grew up between California, Japan, and Stafford County, attending college at Old Dominion University. At ODU, I earned a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies with a concentration in PreK-6 education. I am currently working on my Master's degree from the University of Kansas in Teaching English to Students of Other Languages (TESOL).

I am really looking forward to being your teacher this year. It is my hope to instill a love for learning that extends beyond school. There is nothing more exciting than discovering during an experiment, getting lost in the world through a book, having an "AHA" moment in math, or exploring the wonderful world we live in now or in the past. I hope that we can all grow to love each subject and find interests from our explorations - if you don't already! My goal for this class is for everyone to find their passion, excel, and grow. School is a journey that goes beyond test scores and grades - students should learn not only from their achievements but from their mistakes. We are all full of potential and, with perseverance and hard work, can achieve that and then some this year!
