This year marks my twentieth year teaching and eleventh year teaching within the library setting.  My favorite aspect of running a school library is getting students excited about learning and reading!  I like knowing that our students have the choice of what to read in the library, so they can always be reading what they enjoy.

I look forward to continuing our VA Reader's Choice program and our Makerspace.  VA Reader's Choice is a program which allows students across VA to vote for what book they think should win some recognition.  The makerspace will allow our students to design and create in meaningful ways to learn a variety of concepts.  Also, sometimes it will just be fun to allow the students to tinker and enjoy what is in the makerspace.
