Mrs. Heather Satterwhite
Hi! My name is Heather Satterwhite. This is my third year teaching fifth grade at Falmouth Elementary. However, I have been teaching for six years. I taught second grade in Spotsylvania County from 2013-2016. I really loved teaching 5th grade and being at Falmouth last year. My class had a fantastic school year and I look forward to an amazing year full of fun and learning this year as well. I live in Spotsylvania with my husband and four children. My husband works as a police officer in Washington D.C. My oldest daughter, Haylee, is a college freshman. My oldest son, AJ, is a senior at Stafford High School. My youngest daughter, Abi, is in 8th grade at Drew Middle. My youngest son, Dalton, is a kindergartner at Falmouth. In addition, I have two adult step-children and two grandchildren. When I am not teaching my family keeps me busy. My husband and AJ compete taekwondo, my daughters are competive cheerleaders, and Dalton plays soccer and enjoys ninja kid training. I enjoy traveling all over the country to watch my husband and kids compete in the sports they love. I also enjoy spending time with my family. We vacation, dine, and play games together.
I became a teacher a bit later in life after staying home with my three oldest children during their preschool years. During this time I knew I wanted to be a teacher and decided that the time was right in 2013 when all my children were in school. I enjoyed teaching second grade, but have found my passion working with fifth graders. Thank you so much sharing your child with me and entrusting me with your child's education this year.
