I am passionate about working with children and their families to connect them to resources to that they can thrive. I enjoy building relationships and collaborating with students, parents, and school staff to share information and determine what services or resources would be most helpful for our students to be successful.
Although this is my first year working in Stafford County Schools, last year I was an elementary school social worker for two schools in Spotsylvania County. I have also been a comunity social worker supporting and advocating for children and families for many years. I have lived in Virginia and North Carolina. My educational background includes an undergraduate degree in psychology and a Masters in Social Work. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my husband, two teenage daughters and my dog, Angel. I like to garden, bake, make crafts, play board games, go salt water fishing and travel to new places.
I am excited to be the school social worker for both Hampton Oaks Elementary (Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays) and for Rockhill Elementary (Wednesdays and Thursdays). I am really excited to get to know and support our Hawk students and their families!
