• Battle of the Books Reading Program

    What is it and who runs the program?

    It is a district-wide reading competition held typically in Spring where students can "battle" other high schools in the County by answering questions in a team atmosphere about the nominated ten chapter books/graphic novels selected by all the high school librarians. It is a book club that is sponsored by the Library and run by Forge students.

    What is the purpose of the program?

    To encourage students to read current young adult chapter books/graphic novels and discuss in a fun collaborative, group setting. 

    How do you participate?

    Participation in this reading program is voluntary and open to all high school grade levels. Students can join any time! Club meetings are held bi-weekly after school in the Classroom area of the Library. Please see the Library staff for more information.

    When does the club meet?

    Every other Tuesday at 2:30pm in the Classroom area of the Library.

    How do I get more information about this reading program?

    For more info, please speak to the Library staff. 

  • Interested in joining Battle of the Books?

    Fill out the Interest Form to be invited to the Battle of the Books meetings and receive books included in the battle.
