  • Temporary Schedule Change to Begin 10-12-21

Posted by Emily Smith on 9/29/2021 3:45:00 PM

The Stafford County School Board voted and approved a temporary, minor change in school hours beginning Tuesday, October 12, 2021. As a reminder, Monday, October 11 is a Professional Day for staff. Students will not attend in-person or participate in virtual learning.

The following schedule will be in effect for four weeks (through November 5) to allow other transportation measures time for implementation. For students with an IEP/504, your child's plan may be proportionately adjusted to reflect the new shift in the bell schedule. If you have any questions, please reach out to the designee or case manager at your child's school.

These revised start and end times will enable us to re-establish a more effective and efficient routing system. While this will help, the decision will not wholly eliminate late bus arrival and departures. We will continue consolidating existing routes, hiring additional drivers, and expediting bus driver applications.

As always, we remain committed to improving the transportation of our students. Thank you for your continued support and patience.
