• Hello Dragons!

    I am so excited to join the Anthony Burns Family as the Math Specialist. I have been in education for 7 years; most of which has been spent as a 1st grade teacher. I began teaching in 2015 after graduating from the University of Central Florida with a major in Elementary Education. I taught for two years in a small town outside of Tampa, FL before moving to Fairfax County in 2017. Over the summer my family and I relocated to Fredericksburg, so this will be my first year as a Stafford County educator. I am thrilled for this opportunity and excited to continue to grow and nurture a love of mathematics in all of our Dragons. 

    When I am not immersed in Math, I love to spend time with my husband, Jeremy, and our two children, Rhea and Lucas. We have one spoiled dog named Pepper who is the baby of the family (even though she's older than both kids!) Aside from math, my passion lies within the kitchen. I love to cook and create my own recipes. If you need a great pasta recipe, I'm your girl! I am a Florida girl at heart, so the beach will always be my happy place. 

    I am looking forward to a fantastic year at Anthony Burns!
