2020-2021 School Nutrition Meal Service Plan

  • SCPS Meal Service:

    The State of Virginia approved a waiver allowing all children 18 and under to receive meals at no charge through December 31, 2020.  Meals will be offered curbside at select schools and for pickup at community bus distribution sites.  Visit staffordschools.nutrislice.com to see the latest student menus.

    As a reminder, Friday, September 4, and Monday, September 7, 2020 are Stafford County Public School holidays. As such, no meal service will be available on these dates.  School curbside pickup and bus deliveries will take place on Monday, August 31, 2020 and Wednesday, September 2, 2020.  Due to the holiday schedule, meal pickup and distribution will take place on Tuesday, September 8, Wednesday, September 9, and Friday, September 11, 2020. 

    Curbside School Meal Service:

    On Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, meal service will take place from 10:30 AM to 1:00 PM.  We will offer hot lunch and breakfast “to go” at all curbside school sites.  (On Mondays and Wednesdays, parents may pick up a 2-day supply of breakfast and lunch).

    Participating Curbside School Sites: A.G. Wright Middle, Anthony Burns Elementary, Brooke Point High, Colonial Forge High, Conway Elementary, Dixon-Smith Middle, Falmouth Elementary, Kate Waller Barrett Elementary, Hartwood Elementary, Mountain View High, North Stafford High, Rocky Run Elementary, and Shirley Heim Middle Schools.

    Community Bus Distribution:

    Community meal distribution by bus will take place mid-days on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. The meals will consist of “Heat & Serve” breakfast and lunch items.  Please refer to this document for site locations and site-specific distribution times.

    Evening Curbside School Meal Service:

    Evening meal service will take place on Mondays and Wednesdays from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM offering “Heat & Serve” meals at select school sites.  Parents may pick up a 2- or 3-day supply of breakfast and lunch.  All “Heat & Serve” meals should be immediately refrigerated until cooked. These items must be cooked to an internal temperature of 165 degrees. 

    Participating School Sites: Kate Waller Barrett Elementary, Falmouth Elementary, Rocky Run Elementary, and Colonial Forge High Schools

    Meal Pick up and Payment Procedures:

    A parent or guardian may pick up meals without the student being present, however, they must provide the student’s name and school attending, or student ID.  Students are allowed one breakfast and lunch daily and all meals will be tracked with our online point of sale system.

    Access to the Free & Reduced Meal Application:

    Parents may complete an application for Free and Reduced priced meals online at https://www.nlappscloud.comSome families are automatically approved for meal benefits. However, if you have not been notified by August 31, 2020, you must complete a new application. 

    2020 -2021 Student Meal Prices:

    In School Meal Service for Exempted and Select Students:

    Meals will be made available for all onsite students.  On days your student is not on campus, meals will need to be picked up at one of our participating meal service sites.

    Safety Measures:

    SCPS Nutrition staff are following all guidelines for social distancing, wellness screenings, face coverings, and temperature checks to help ensure the safety of all students and staff.
