• Stafford County Public Schools conducts vision and hearing screenings as mandated by Code of Virginia Law 22.1-273.  This screening is completed on all students in grades K, 3, 7, and 10 plus all students who are new to Stafford County Public Schools.  The screening is scheduled within the first 60 days of enrollment.

The screenings do not diagnose vision or hearing impirments, but may flag possible deficiencies that otherwise go unnoticed and recommendations can be made for a professional exam.  Conditions that lead to either visual or hearing problems may lead to inadeuqate school performance and prevent students from obtaining maximum benefits from their educational experience if gone untreated.

If you do not want to have your student screened at school and instead would like to provide screening documentation from your physician, please contact me.

If your student is participating in 100% virtual learning this year see the attached from.
