SCPS aims to offer competitive salaries for the region to both licensed and service staff members. Teachers, counselors, social workers, and other non-administrative staff in positions that require a license from the Virginia Board of Education will be offered a salary from the Teacher Salary Scale in accordance with their credited years of experience; those with additional education beyond a Bachelor's degree are also eligible for an educational supplement. To receive the additional compensation for completion of additional coursework, you must complete the Educational Supplement Request Form (for Licensed Staff)
Please note the following information regarding the submission of your Educational Supplement requests:
- Stafford County Public Schools will process Educational Supplement requests as soon as the request and official transcripts are received. It is the responsibility of those eligible to make sure all documentation required for the salary upgrade is received by the Human Resources Department to meet the following deadlines:
- Submission and verification received before the 15th of the month, will be processed and included in your next month's pay.
- Submission and verification received after the 15th of the month, will be processed and included in the following month's pay.
- Submissions on April 7, 2021 or later will be processed and be effective during the 2022/2023 school year.
