Ms. Jennifer Meyers
Dear Wildcat Students and Families,
I am thrilled to be joining Widewater Elementary School this year as their Assistant Principal. I have worked in education for almost 20 years, with the last seven with Stafford County Public Schools. I attended Providence College and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education and Special Education and a Master of Education in Educational Media and Technology from Boston University.
Due to military moves, I had the opportunity to teach Pre-K through eighth grade in several schools nationwide. My career began as a special education teacher and then as a classroom teacher. In 2021, I obtained a Master of Education from The College of William and Mary in Educational Leadership and Supervision K-12. This leadership degree gave me additional skills to become the math specialist at Winding Creek Elementary School. As the math specialist, I supported and led teachers to implement strong instruction to support all learners based on school-wide data.
My family and I live in Stafford. My husband retired from the Coast Guard, but we felt strongly about staying in Stafford. Stafford became home for our whole family. We have two boys who attend North Stafford High School and two dogs.
I look forward to forming partnerships with the families at Widewater Elementary School. I am passionate about supporting the academic success and well-being of all students. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to help guide your children socially, emotionally and academically. We are going to have an incredible year!
