Mrs. Terri Willis
I was born and raised in Port Jefferson, New York on the North shore of Long Island. The town has much history for my family as my her grandfatherwas the second Mayor of the town, as well as the fire department chief and served on the school board of education. Fifty years later my Uncle became the Mayor and was inducted by the same gentleman as my grandfather. Our family had several small businesses with my father being a general contractor and mother working at the hospital. I graduated from E.L. Vandermeulen H.S. and then attended St. Joseph's College recieving a Bachelors Degree in Education. I met my husband Thomas and moved to what was then a much smaller town in Fredericksburg, Va. I began teaching Early Childhood Special Education in Stafford County Public Schools at Rockhill in 1989 for ten years. I returned to school and graduated from VCU with a Masters Degree in Early Childhood Special Education. At that time, I took a year off to help with the family business. I then taught an inclusion preschool class in Spotsylvania for six years before returning to Rockhill. This will be my fourteenth year teaching Kindergarten. I live with my husband and help with the family business. In my spare time I enjoy visiting family, long walks on the beach and collecting shells and other treasures.
