Division Counsel
The Office of Division Counsel serves as the chief legal advisor, providing legal advice to the Superintendent, division administration leadership, and school-based administrators. Supports the review and development of policies and regulations for the division, ensuring they align with organizational goals and legal requirements. Interfaces with School Board members, the Superintendent, school administrators, school staff, outside counsel, and external entities including the courts, law enforcement, and state/federal administrative agencies. Provides guidance as the Board Parliamentarian, ensuring smooth and effective meetings for our school board. Assists with various matters, including home instruction, religious exemption, and enrollment delays, ensuring that each student's educational journey aligns with their needs and beliefs.
