Technology
Welcome to the Stafford County Public Schools Office of Technology! Our mission is to support the school community—students, teachers, parents, administrators, and staff—by providing robust technology network infrastructure, computer systems/hardware, instructional and business applications. Our goal is to empower minds and pave the way for future success.
ParentVUE & StudentVUE Access
ParentVUE and StudentVUE are essential tools for staying connected with your child's education. Parents and guardians can access real-time information about their child's grades, attendance, and assignments through ParentVUE. Students can use StudentVUE to monitor their own progress and keep track of their assignments and grades. Learn how to sign up for ParentVUE.
Help Desk Support
Our Help Desk is here to assist you with any technical issues or questions you may have regarding our technology services. Whether you need help with ParentVUE, StudentVUE, Canvas, or any other technology-related concerns, our team is ready to help. Contact us at (540) 658-HELP or email helpdesk@staffordschools.net.
Student Records
For access to student records, parents and guardians can request information through ParentVUE or by contacting the school directly. Ensure that all your child’s records are up-to-date and accessible when needed.
Student Resources: Canvas
Canvas is our comprehensive learning management system that supports both in-person and online learning. Students can access course materials, submit assignments, participate in discussions, and communicate with their teachers through Canvas.
By leveraging these tools and resources, we aim to create a seamless and integrated technology experience for all members of our school community. Thank you for being a part of Stafford County Public Schools, where we are committed to excellence in education and technology.
Need-Based Internet Service
Stafford currently has cable franchise agreements with three cable providers: Cox, Comcast and Verizon. Each provides need-based discounts on the internet to help meet the needs of students with online learning, particularly during the Coronavirus pandemic. For more information, please visit the links below.
- Verizon - The Verizon Lifeline program is low-cost internet for low-income families - $20 a month.
- Cox - Connect2Compete is an internet service for low-income families with the first two months free and $9.95 after that. They also have some refurbished equipment.
- Comcast - Comcast Internet Essentials provides internet for $9.95 a month for those who qualify.
- The Federal Government has enacted an Emergency Broadband Benefit (EBB). The benefit is for those who lost substantial income during COVID and for those who already qualify for reduced/free lunch and other reduced income programs. As well, if you already receive any of the low-cost internet through the providers above, the EBB will cover the cost of that for you.
Proof of free or reduced lunch status is available and maintained online through SchoolCafe accounts. Please note that schools are unable to provide proof of status to families directly. To access or print your proof of eligibility, log in to your SchoolCafe account.
