Artificial Intelligence in Stafford Schools

Stafford County Public Schools recognizes the promise and challenges of generative artificial intelligence (AI). This policy provides guidance to ensure AI is used responsibly—as a tool to enhance learning, support instruction, and improve operations—while protecting student and staff privacy, promoting academic integrity, and fostering ethical, age-appropriate use. The policy is reviewed annually to stay aligned with evolving technology.

Policy 3114: Use of Artificial Intelligence

The policy recognizes the potential benefits and risks associated with generative AI and directs the Superintendent to develop a regulation governing the use of generative AI in Stafford Schools.

The regulation includes the strategic guidelines for use of generative AI.
