Advisory Committees
ADULT MEMBERS: Advisory committees are composed of adult Stafford County residents who have volunteered their time, talents, and knowledge to help strengthen the Stafford Schools community. Members are appointed by the School Board to serve two-year terms of service. The committees typically meet one evening per month (however, all committees take a hiatus during the month of July). Each committee makes an annual report to the School Board with recommendations for consideration and action.
STUDENT MEMBERS: The advisory committees greatly benefit from the viewpoints and input of students. The goal is for each committee to have two or three student representatives. Students are selected by Chief of Schools Dr. Marcie Robertson in collaboration with each committee's staff liaison.
High school students who will be juniors or seniors during the 2026-2027 school year are encouraged to apply when the Application Period opens on June 1.
