Career and Technical Education
Purpose
To provide recommendations to the school board on current job needs and the relevancy of career and technical education programs offered; and to assist in the development, implementation, and evaluation of the local CTE plan and application in accordance with relevant law, rule, and/or regulation.
In 2025, the committee will:
- Ongoing program evaluation, with the support of committee members who bring valuable industry expertise. The members’ feedback is instrumental in identifying key areas such as credentialing requirements and equipment needs, ensuring that our students are equipped with the skills necessary for success in both career and college pathways after high school.
- Review and approve the CTE Annual Perkins Plan and the Comprehensive Local Needs Assessment (CLNA) prior to the submission of those documents to the school board by the Office of Academic Programs.
- Invite the EDA to appoint a liaison to the CTEAC as a non-voting member.
- Present to the Economic Development Association and/or the BOS in November.
