Partners for Safe Teen Driving Meetings
At Stafford County Public Schools, we've been proudly hosting 'Partners for Safe Teen Driving Meetings' for over 15 years. These meetings are more than just gatherings; they're a collaborative effort uniting our valued business partners, law enforcement, parents, students, and teachers. Together, we aim to guide families through this pivotal step in our students' journey toward adulthood, fostering a sense of teamwork and support.
During these sessions, we cover the essential 8 steps to obtain a license, walk through the graduated licensing process, and discuss any recent laws affecting young drivers. While there's now a parent opt-out option available starting this year, we highly encourage parents to join these meetings alongside their child. The laws and procedures have evolved over time, and attending together strengthens our support as you navigate the licensing process. It's an integral part of our classroom driver education curriculum and mandatory for all students.
We kindly ask attendees to arrive 15 minutes early for the sign-in process, as meetings will promptly begin at 6:00 p.m. For those arriving after 6:10 p.m., we recommend attending the next scheduled meeting for a comprehensive overview.
Should you have any queries or require further information, please reach out to your Driver Education Building Coordinator at your respective high school. Your active involvement contributes to our shared commitment to safe and responsible driving practices.
