September is Hunger in Action Month

Join the #StaffordCommunity for Stafford in Action Week, a special initiative from September 23-27 dedicated to combating hunger and reducing student meal debt. This week, your participation can make a real difference in the lives of our students.

How can you help? Simply visit one of the participating restaurants throughout the week, and a portion of your purchase will be contributed to offsetting student meal debt. It’s an easy and impactful way to give back while enjoying a meal with your friends and family.

But that’s not all! Schools across the division are encouraged to show their school spirit. Wear your school’s spirit wear when you visit a participating restaurant, and take part in the restaurant’s photo opportunity. Post your photos on Facebook or Instagram using #OneLunchOneLife for the chance to win a prize!

Maximize Your Impact

We're inviting local restaurants like yours to be at the forefront of this effort. When local businesses like yours step up, it sends a powerful message that we are a community that cares and acts. Here's how you can make a difference:

Host a Point of Sale Donation Site: Add a $3 point of sale donation option at checkout thus empowering all patrons to cover the cost of one lunch and impact one life.
Prix Fixe Menu: Feature a special menu showcasing your specialities where the proceeds go directly to support the cause, making it easy for your customers to contribute with their meal choices.
Donate a Percentage of Sales: Similar to a spirit night, donating a flat percentage of sales during the week is another popular option particularly if your checkout system will not support a point of sale donation. Please keep in mind this is a week-long campaign so we are not able to include a one off spirit night.
Sponsor a Classroom or School: If your business can do more, consider sponsoring a classroom or school. Sponsorships start at $100.
