The Stafford County Track and Field Championships will take place at North Stafford High School on Wednesday, May 10.
Field Events start at 10:30am
Running Events start at 1:30pm 
Admission - $5.00

2023 SHMS Track Roster

Practices will be from 4:15-6:15 every school day, starting tomorrow, 3/23. 

Tryouts:

Tryouts will last for 4 days, and over those days athletes will have opportunities to be timed/measured in the following events: 
Sprints: 100m, 200m, 400m dashes, 110m hurdles
Distance: 800m, 1600m, 2400m runs 
Jumps: Long Jump, High Jump, Triple Jump
Throws: Shot Put, Discus

The top 3-8 athletes in each event (the number of athletes kept varies by event) whose performances hit the qualifying standards (shown below) will be kept for the team. Due to bus constraints, we are limited to 40 team members. Athletes are encouraged to try as many events as possible.

For tryouts, athletes will need:

• Athletic wear (prepare for cold weather) - Running shoes, shorts/athletic pants/leggings, sweatshirt/light jacket, hat/gloves (optional)
• Water - Water bottle refill stations are available
• Valid VHSL Physical form on file (Only one needed per school year)
