Welcome to the 2020-2021 school year! I am so excited to have your child in class this year. Even though we are starting out virtually, we will be busy doing a lot of project based learning and blended learning. We will also be learning about the 7 Habits.  The 7 Habits are leadership qualities that will help students prepare for the future.  5th grade is thrilling time where students gain independence, responsiblity and become proactive in their learning before going to middle school the next year. Being the oldest kids at GVES, the students are role models for the school and also have other special events and responsibilities.  I am happy to announce that the students will start our DARE program virtually!  I am looking forward to meeting everyone and seeing your child progress throughout the year!
