There are many opportunities in the area to practice reading over the summer. Barnes & Noble in Fredericksburg has a great summer reading program and students are able to earn free books. Porter Library in Stafford has a program called "A Universe of Stories" and students complete missions, earn virtual badges and win prizes. Students are able to go on Dreambox over summer and  complete math lessons and games. Encourage your child to cook over summer; it's a great way to practice math and reading! In fourth grade we learned about many interesting historical places in Virginia. Take a few day trips and explore.
    See you in fall!
"As different as we are from one another, as unique as each one of us is, we are much more the same than we are different. That may be the most essential message of all, as we help our children grow toward being caring, compassionate, and charitable adults."
