Third Grade Overview
Third grade is an exciting year! By the end of third grade, your child will transition from learning to read - to reading to learn. Third graders are expected to become more independent in their thinking and problem solving abilities. They are given opportunities to develop their communication skills through collaboration. For wellness of body and mind, they are given time to energize throughout the day -- which can mean a song, a dance, or some whole body movement activity. Lastly, third graders are challenged to learn from their mistakes in order to grow smarter.
