Mr. Robert Freeman

Dear Ferry Farm Families and Friends,

Welcome to Ferry Farm Elementary - “Where Eagles Learn to Soar.”  Our staff is excited to have you join our “Farm Family!” You will immediately notice that a family atmosphere resonates throughout our school.  Respect and kindness for all is important to us.  In my opinion, we have the best teachers and students in the Stafford County at Ferry Farm.  Our teachers are dedicated to your children and helping them grow academically, emotionally, and socially. We are all extremely proud of the success our students demonstrate each and every day.  I am most proud of the commitment we have in providing our students a quality education that includes the integration of All-Century Skills into our instructional practices.

A little bit about myself, I grew up just outside of Pittsburgh, PA. If you are wondering, yes, I am a HUGE Steelers fan!  I am also married and have 2 children. My daughter lives in California and my son is enlisted in the U.S. Army stationed in Texas.

After serving in the U.S. Army myself, our family moved back to Pennsylvania for me to start my collegiate career.  I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary and Special Education from Slippery Rock University.  In 1996, we moved to Virginia and I began teaching 4th and 5th grade students in Prince William County Schools.  While teaching, I earned my Master’s Degree in Administration and Supervision from George Mason University.  After graduating, I was offered an opportunity to be an administrator at the Middle School level.  In 2002, I was very excited to move to Stafford County Public Schools to continue my career.  I have been an administrator for a total of 19 years.  While working in Stafford, I have had the wonderful honor of being principal at Widewater Elementary and Ferry Farm Elementary School.

Being a part of the “Farm Family” is very important to me!  I believe that as a family, together we can help all of our children be successful as they grow up.  If you ever have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to call me.
