Dr. Andrew Grider

Principal - Dr. Grider grew up in Portsmouth, Virginia and attended the College of William and Mary where he received a degree in English. Following service in the US Army, he returned to William and Mary to earn his master’s degree in Secondary Education. Dr. Grider taught high school English for several years and later supervised a career and technical education program. He received his Ph D. in Education Administration from the University of Virginia and served as a middle school assistant principal for four years and an elementary principal for six years. Dr. Grider is now in his 10th year as the principal at Rodney Thompson Middle School. For 21 years he has been married to a former high school Spanish teacher, and he has 2 children attending Stafford County Schools. Dr. Grider is an adjunct professor for Longwood University, and in his free time enjoys supporting his children’s activities and being with his family.

Mr. Mike Archambault

Assistant Principal - Mr. Mike Archambault was named Assistant Principal of Rodney Thompson Middle School in July 2015. Mr. Archambault hails from New York, his undergraduate and master’s work are in Secondary Social Studies and Adolescent Education from SUNY Cortland.  He also earned an Educational Specialist degree from Regent University in Administration and School Leadership with a focus on Special Education. Prior to his appointment as Assistant Principal, Mr. Archambault taught middle school Civics and Economics with King George County schools.  Mr. Archambault is married and has two young children. Outside of school he enjoys spending time with his family, reading, fishing, listening to live music, and exploring the area’s extensive history.

Mrs. Lori Riti

Assistant Principal -

Mrs. Loretta (Lori) Riti will assume the positon of 10-month Assistant Principal at Rodney E. Thompson Middle School. Mrs. Riti is founding Principal of De LaSalle Academy, a school with students with special needs, in Fort Myers, Florida. She has served in that role since 2011. Previously, Mrs. Riti was Principal of Father Anglim Academy in For Myers, Florida from 2002-2011. In addition, she has nine years of teaching experience both at the elementary and middle school levels.

 

Mrs. Riti earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education from the University of South Florida, a Master of Science degree in Exceptional Student Education from Barry University, and a Master of Science degree in Educational Administration from the University of Notre Dame.
