Deanna Fierro is an experienced bilingual educator dedicated to every child's social and academic growth and a life-long advocate for excellence, equity, and diversity in education. Her leadership experience includes serving as an Education Equity Specialist, a Summer School Head Coordinator, and Aspiring Administrator in two school divisions within the Richmond Region.
Deanna is also attending Virginia Commonwealth University to pursue a Ph.D. in Education with a concentration in Educational Leadership and Policy. She has earned a Master's of Education with a concentration in Educational Leadership & Supervision from the same institution. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts with a concentration in Math Education Grades 4-8 and Algebra from the University of Texas at El Paso. Deanna's core competencies include administration and supervision, data analysis, community engagement, project management, talent acquisition, and state policy review. She received numerous awards and honors, including being nominated for the VDOE Mary Peake Award for Excellence in Education Equity in 2021.
