Mrs. Robin Lloyd

Mrs. Robin Lloyd has more than 20 years of experience in education.  She earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Hampton University, a Master’s of Education degree in Supervision and Leadership from Virginia Commonwealth University.  In addition, she has completed coursework towards a doctoral degree in Educational Leadership at Virginia Commonwealth University. 

Mrs. Lloyd taught in Prince Georges County in Maryland, as well as Hampton, Virginia, and at Central Texas College.  She also taught five years at Park Ridge Elementary and later served as assistant principal at Conway Elementary.  She served in this same role at H.H. Poole for five years as well before becoming the principal at Gayle Middle for the last five years.

Mr. Jennings

Prior to assuming this role, Jennings was an Instructional Coach in Prince William County. He taught English at Rodney E. Thompson Middle School and was the Literacy Coach at Colonial Forge High School from 2008 to 2016. He began his teaching career in Spotsylvania County Schools.

Jennings facilitated collaborative learning teams to increase student achievement. He served as an in-district trainer for Research for Better Teaching and as an instructor for Praxis II English cohort for teachers seeking certification. Jennings participated in PLC training offered by Rick & Becky DuFour.

Jennings earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Liberty University. He earned a Master of Education degree in Curriculum & Instruction and a Master of Education degree in Administration in Supervision from the University of Virginia. Jennings also earned National Board Certification in English/Language Arts for Adolescents and Young Adults.

Dr. Lewis

Dr. Teri Lewis comes to Drew with over 20 years of experience in education. Prior to joining our team, Dr. Lewis served in several capacities in Arlington Public Schools, including instructional specialist, interim assistant principal, and supervisor of the Office of Minority Achievement. She also served as an associate professor of secondary education at Towson University in Maryland and taught middle and high school English in Prince George’s County, MD, Gainesville, FL, and Charlottesville, VA.

Dr. Lewis earned a Bachelor of Arts in English from Spelman College, a Master of Arts in English and English Education from the University of South Florida, and Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Florida.
