    Welcome to 4th Grade Bobcats!

We will learn so many new things as well, as expand on learning from previous grades.  During this school year, students will have the opportunity to become more independent through discovery, critical thinking, and hands-on learning activities.  I am looking forward to helping each of my students be successful with any challenge that may present itself in the classroom. We will always strive to do our best in anything we set our minds too! We will learn from our mistakes and constantly improve in this classroom.

Parents, if you have any questions throughout the year, feel free to email me - oberdc@staffordschools.net.  I look forward to working with you this school year. Through open communication, we will be able to work together to help our children succeed.

    Reading in our classroom:

    • I send Scholastic book flyers home from time to time.  If you would like to order, you can either send the order in with the a check made out to Scholastic Book clubs or you may shop online.  Online shopping is easy and gives you access to more titles and discount books.  GO to scholastic.com and type in our class code, RH3DJ.

    • Every student is required to read to meet their AR Goal each month.  They will have a bookmark as their reading log to keep it inside the book they are currently reading.  They are to mark their reading on their bookmark, take the AR test when they are done, and turn in the bookmark.  The AR test grades will be part of their reading grade.  Please encourage your child to read at least 20 minutes each night.  Thank you for encouraging your child to read!
